PATNA, May 28 -- Bihar's deputy chief minister Samrat Chaudhary Chaudhary said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will 'gift' development projects worth Rs.50,000 crore to Bihar. These include schemes related to the Patna and Bihta airports, roads, electricity and railways, which were expected to accelerate the development of Bihar, said a press release issued by the Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD) on Tuesday. He said that the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Bihta airport expansion scheme in Bikramganj, inaugurate the new terminal of Patna Airport and lay the foundation stone of super thermal power plant to be built at a cost of Rs.29,947.91 crore in Nabinagar of Aurangabad district. Chaudhary said Bihar will get 1500 MW electricity from the Nabinagar power plant. This will be the second largest power generation plant of NTPC in the country, said the release. He said that the projects which Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate include Patna-Gaya-Dobhi four lane scheme (5519 crore), construction of four lane elevated highway, grade improvement in Gopalganj town on NH-27 (249 crore), automatic signaling of railway from Sasaram to Anugrah Narayan Road (25 km) 43 crore, third railway line between Son Nagar-Muhammad Ganj (65 km, cost 1338 crore), construction of hostel and staff quarters in JNV, Jehanabad (8 crore), the release added....
