People's enthusiasm, big turnout in 1st phase mean they want NDA back: Yogi
ARARIA/SUPAUL/MADHUBANI, Nov. 10 -- Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath while addressing election rallies on the last day for campaigning of Bihar election in Supaul and Araria on Sunday said, "The turnout and the trends in the first phase have demonstrated that if the state is to flourish, individuals must exercise their franchise to elevate it to new height of progress and prosperity."
Looking at the massive crowd in Supaul, Yogi said, "Your enthusiasm has told everything and you have decided to give NDA another chance to serve you."
Making scathing attacks on RJD for jungle raj in Bihar, he said, "During RJD regime, Bihar was in the grip of caste and religion-based violence," declaring RJD-Congress combine a 'danger' for society.' Speaking on the claim of Tejashwi Yadav giving jobs, he said, "They will never give you jobs, instead they will grab your land," claiming, "They have never had any development agenda in their kitty."
"Today, Bihar's youth, voters, farmers, and every citizen aspire to build a prosperous, developed Bihar on the strong foundations of good governance and prosperity. History has shown that whenever Bihar has prospered and developed, India has also thrived. When Bihar experiences a golden age, it marks the golden age of India," CM Yogi said.
Addressing an election rally at Bisfi in Madhubani, the UP CM invoked Bihar's ancient cultural heritage and accused the opposition of pushing the state into lawlessness in the past.
He drew sharp contrasts between the NDA and the opposition alliance, blaming the RJD and Congress for the state's decline. "If there is anyone responsible for Bihar's suffering, it is Congress and RJD. During their rule, no one was safe - not women, not businessmen, not even farmers," he alleged. Referring to RJD's tenure as jungle raj, he claimed "over 30,000 kidnappings took place during their regime."
Linking the state's historical pride to the ongoing elections, Adityanath said Bihar - the land of Sita, Lord Buddha, and Lord Mahavir - deserved to regain its golden era under the "double-engine government" of the NDA. "Under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, the foundation of development and good governance has been firmly laid in last two decades," he said
Adityanath also compared Bihar's past with what he called the transformation in UP under his government. "Earlier, UP too suffered from riots and goonda raj. Today, the mafia's palaces have been demolished and the land returned to the poor. If anyone encroaches on a poor man's land, let it be known that the bulldozer will roll," he declared to loud applause.
Targeting the opposition's welfare promises, Adityanath said, "Now these people talk about giving ration. What ration will they give? They had even eaten the fodder meant for animals." He added the NDA government had worked for all sections of society.
Adityanath urged voters to ensure that "Bihar does not become a launching pad for infiltrators."...
