Patna cop dies of sudden heart attack in office
PATNA, Dec. 8 -- Station house officer (SHO) of Ramkrishna nagar police station Sanjeev Kumar, a 2009-batch sub-inspector, died late on Saturday night after a sudden heart attack in his office room.
Police said Sanjeev had returned late on Saturday from duty and was sitting in his office room after instructing patrol teams. "Suddenly, he complained of severe chest pain. He was rushed to a private nursing home for treatment but doctors declared him dead," his colleagues said.
On Sunday, after the postmortem, a guard of honour was given to him at the Patna police lines, after which his mortal remains was sent to his ancestral village in Muzaffarpur for the last rites.
Sanjeev held a distinct identity in the police department due to his calm demeanour, discipline, and strong leadership abilities. In recent years, he had been posted in crucial police station areas of the state capital. Senior officials of the department expressed shock at his sudden demise....
