KISHANGANJ, Sept. 25 -- All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi slammed the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for neglecting three letters addressed to RJD chief Lalu Prasad and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Tejashwi Yadav. Owaisi, who was in Kishanganj before launching his Seemanchal Nyay Yatra on Wednesday, said, "My party's Bihar unit chief Akhtarul Iman has written three letters to the RJD, and in the last letter to LoP Tejashwi Yadav, my party has clearly said that if it gets six out of 243 seats, it is ready to become a part of the INDIA bloc to defeat the National Democratic Alliance." He expressed strong displeasure over the allegations that his party was helping BJP in Bihar, while stressing that AIMIM had been making consistent attempts to forge a united fight to defeat the NDA in the state. He added, "We have shouldered our responsibilities, and now the ball is in the court of INDIA bloc. Our honest efforts show that the accusations of helping the BJP are completely wrong and unjustified. It is clear who is actually helping the BJP." On being asked whether his party would offer a few seats to the RJD in Hyderabad, Owaisi said, "They are very much a part of the INDIA bloc and the Congress is in power in Telangana. Let them contest there."...
