KISHANGANJ, Oct. 30 -- AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) chief Asaduddin Owaisi, while addressing three election meetings in Kishanganj on Wednesday, sharply reacted against Prashant KIshor's (PK) criticism of his political approach in Bihar politics. Owaisi justified his visit to Seemanchal and said, "I have been coming here to show you all leaders after all what have you done to Bihar." He alleged that RJD and Congress and again BJP and JD(U) had ruled the state but the per capita income of the people of Bihar was still the lowest in the country. "See, Nitish has been changing in Bihar but I am still the same as I was 11 years ago when I first came here," he said and claimed, "I have tasted both successes and failures during these years but I have never left you like these leaders." Taking a dig at Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad he said, "Nitish Kumar is stuck in Rajgir while Lalu Prasad has only one goal to make his son chief minister." Owaisi addressed three election meetings at Bahadurganj for his party candidate Md Tauseef Alam, at Thakurganj for his party nominee Ghulam Hasnain and for Shamsh Agaz contesting the Kishanganj seat. PK during his electioneering in Kishanganj on Tuesday had raised fingers at Owaisi's visit to Bihar and suggested that he should focus on developing his own constituency of Hyderabad and stay out of Bihar politics. He argued that Owaisi would have been better off focusing his efforts on the welfare of Muslims in Telangana. PK warned voters against repeating the mistake of 2020 elections. In 2020 AIMIM had won five seats in Seemanchal. In fact Kishor framed the electoral battle as an 'insider' versus 'outsider' and claimed West Bengal had already rejected Owaisi's politics. AIMIM, which has fielded 25 candidates in Bihar, has fielded 14 candidates in Seemanchal's four districts Purnea, Katihar, Araria and Kishanganj- the region with a substantial number of Muslims from 30 to 70 per cent with 11 Muslim MLAs. Seemanchal has 24 assembly seats out of 243-assemnly seats in Bihar. Seemanchal goes to poll on November 11, while the counting of votes for the state elections will be held on November 14. ....
