The Bihar State Executive Assistant Service Union and the Bihar State IT Assistant Service Union will jointly carry out the agitation under the banner of Bihar State IT Employees Joint Struggle Front. In line with the decision taken by the state committees, the district heads of both the unions informed the respective district magistrates and other departmental officials about the planned movement. IT union president Om Prakash Singh and executive assistant union president Ashish Kumar, in a joint letter to the chief minister, have said that the honorarium of all contract employees in almost all departments has been increased by the government but the IT and executive assistants, had been put on hold, causing widespread resentment among them. "Selected by Bihar Prashasnik Sudhar Mission (BPSM) in August 2011, they played an important role in digitalisation and making online records and data in various government departments along with day to day duty. But they were working on the lowest honorarium, impossible to meet both ends," IT Union president Singh said. "They will be on a two-day mass leave on October 3 and 4 and will be on a hunger strike from October 6 until their demands are met," he said....
