BETTIAH, Sept. 8 -- A former village head died and two other minors were injured by lightning strikes at a village in West Champaran district on Sunday. According to officials, while ex-sarpanch, identified as Kailash Ram, 45, was killed, two minors were injured after being struck by the lightning at Nautanwa village in Bagaha -2 block. "There are prominent burn injuries on Kailash's body. He died on the spot," said Ravi Prakash Choudhary, circle officer,, Bagaha -2, adding an ex-gratia would be provided to next of the kin of the deceased as per rule.
