GAYA JI, July 11 -- A video of RJD's political overtones of 1990s when the slogan 'Bhura Baal Saaf karo' once used by RJD chief Lalu Prasad to wipe out four forward castes from the power corridors became the buzz, has once again gone viral before assembly polls 2025 could be announced. However, the RJD and its leaders had always denied and distanced from the statement. In a video that went viral on social media on Wednesday, which Hindustan Times cannot confirm, a man from the stage in the presence of an RJD MLA raised the slogan 'Bhura Baal Saaf Karo', referring to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad slogan. He is heard saying, "Lalu Yadav had initially said 'Bhura Baal Saaf Karo'. Now the same time has come". The Atari MLA is seen smiling and applause from the people can also be heard on his statement. The man has been identified as Munarik Yadav, husband of Sohad panchayat mukhiya Foto Devi. The slogan was echoed from the dais of the RJD Atri MLA Ajay Yadav alias Ranjeet Yadav in a dharna at Shivala in Sidhi gram panchayat of the assembly constituency in Gaya Ji district. The Atari MLA distanced himself from the slogan and told HT that Munarik Yadav was his opponent and not a member of RJD. He raised this slogan to tarnish the political image of the MLA. He said that his leader Tejashwi Yadav had repeatedly said that RJD was a party of A to Z which respected everyone. When asked how the opponent reached his meeting, the MLA said that this meeting was not organized by his party. It was an all-party dharna meeting called by the youths of Sidhi Panchayat to protest against the construction of Panchayat Sarkar Bhawan on the playground they used for games and preparations for police and army recruitments. The MLA was also invited as their representative. There is a lot of anger among the local people after the video went viral. The Bharatiya Janata Party has raked up the issue. Wazirganj BJP MLA Birendra Singh and party state secretary Dhanraj Sharma said that the person who raised the hate slogan had been a strong supporter of RJD and the MLA. BJP leaders said that RJD people were anxious to reestablish Jungle Raj in the state to repeat the extremism and caste massacres in the state. But the people would wipe them out in the 2025 assembly elections....
