officials rescue crocodile in Haridwar
Haridwar, May 26 -- Panic gripped residents of Munda Kheda village in Laksar block of Haridwar district on Sunday after a crocodile was spotted in a pond near agricultural fields. The reptile was later rescued by the forest department personnel, officials aware of the matter said.
According to a local resident, Sarfaraz Khan, the crocodile was first seen in the morning by villagers near a water pond close to the fields.
"The crocodile was safely captured and later released into the Ganga river," said Sunit Saini, team leader of the forest department's rescue unit. htc...
