ARA, Oct. 18 -- Chief minister Nitish Kumar started his election campaign in Shahabad region by addressing people on Friday after filing of nomination paper by JD(U) candidate Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha from Jagdishpur. He said Bihar would be among the developed states of the country. In every panchayat, 'vivah bhavan' would be built. He counted all the development works done in the state including Bhojpur and Buxar districts. He said the Centre was fully supporting development of Bihar. Working national president of JD(U) Sanjay Jha said the whole world and country was watching Bihar closely. Attacking opposition parties, he said they did not finalise candidates and seats yet. He also counted the good work done by the Nitish Kumar-led government. Actor-turned-MP Manoj Tiwari was present during the filing of nomination papers by BJP candidate from Barhara, Raghavendra Pratap Singh. Addressing a large number of people, he said wherever he went, he saw massive support for NDA. Speaking in Bhojpuri, he sung some songs too. Most of the NDA candidates from Bhojpur and Buxar including Anand Mishra filed their nomination papers on Friday. NDA candidates who filed their nomination included Sanjay Singh Tiger (BJP) from Ara, Raghvendra Pratap Singh (BJP) from Barhara, Vishal Prashant (BJP) from Tarari, Mahesh Paswan (BJP) from Agiaon (reserved constituency for SC, ST), Sri Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha (JD-U) from Jagdishpur, Radha Charan Sah (JD-U) from Sandesh, Anand Mishra (BJP) from Buxar and Hulas Pandey (LJP-R,) from Brahmpur. Ashok Kumar Singh alias Ram Babu Singh (RJD) filed his nomination paper from Barhara and Sanjay Tiwari alias Munna Tiwari (Congress) filed his nomination paper from Buxar. Former MLA (RJD) Saroj Yadav also filed his nomination papers from Barhara as an Independent candidate. The state of Bihar will vote in two phases on November 6 and 11 for a new assembly.
