Nigerian national held at India-Nepal border
BETTIAH, Sept. 26 -- Immigration department sleuths arrested a 46-year-old Nigerian citizen for attempting to enter India from Nepal on a fraudulently procured passport of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire, officials said on Thursday.
Haraiya Station House Officer (SHO) Kisan Kumar Paswan identified the accused as Henry Chigozie Omeke, who was apprehended at the immigration office in Raxaul, East Champaran.
"Investigation revealed that the Nigerian national had earlier visited India in 2017 and 2023. This time, he was trying to gain entry using a fraudulent passport of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire. He is being sent to jail," the SHO said....
