New guidelines issued to keep check on safari tours inside rtr
Jaipur, April 7 -- To keep a check on the safari tours at the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, the forest department has implemented a guidelines aiming to better monitoring of the tourist vehicles and their activities, an official said. "There are several reports that suggested that many gypsy and canter operators breached RTR protocols by getting extremely close to the tiger cubs. They also take some risky U-Turns and also park the vehicle at the same point for a long time making the tigers uncomfortable in their habitat. It is a sheer violation of the Wildlife Act 1972," chief conservator and field director of the RTR Anoop KR said in the order issued on Saturday....
