PATNA, Feb. 5 -- Five days after the Bihar government recommended the CBI probe into the case involving the mysterious death of a medical aspirant in a private Patna hostel, the special investigation team (SIT) on Wednesday came forward to present the development before the media. This is the first time that the SIT headed by central range IG Jitendra Rana comprising with senior SP Kartikey K Sharma, city SP (east) Parichay Kumar, Sadar SDPO Abhinav Kumar and Sachivalaya SDPO Anu Kumari, came out to share the details with the media, even though it has been probing the case for about a month. The SIT came forward a day before a call for gheraoed Vidhan Sabha by the agitated family members of the kin and their supporters due to failure to crack the case despite FSL and postmortem reports indicating sexual assault.
