PATNA, Aug. 14 -- The leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are buoyed up with the seventh visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi -- this time to the holy town of Gaya Ji on August 22. The prime minister is scheduled to visit the Magadh University campus. On Tuesday, all the constituents of the NDA held a meeting to make PM's visit yet another grand show, with large participation of people from neighbouring constituencies. The state presidents of the NDA constituents participated in the meeting. Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal said that the NDA would strive to ensure maximum participation of people at the public meeting, as all the workers enthusiastic about it. The PM is also likely to lay foundation stone of some development and welfare projects and inaugurate some for the Magadh regions. From Magadh, he will address people from 10 neighbouring constituencies. On all his previous visits, he has been generous towards Bihar in terms of projects and programmes and with the election round the corner, more is expected. During his Motihari visit last month, the PM had sounded the poll bugle, saying that his government's top priority has been to remove backwardness -- be it of the region or the people -- and therefore Bihar was under focus for fast-paced development. He had also given Bihar over 7,000-crore worth projects and schemes, including those related to railway and roads. In Rohtas, he had laid the foundation stone and dedicated development projects worth over Rs.48,520 crore. At Madhubani also, he had laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth over Rs 13,480 crore, while at Bhagalpur in February he had released Rs.22,000 crore to 9.8 crore farmers across the country under PM-KISAN scheme. "With PM, there is huge expectation of the people and he does not let them down. During his all previous visits to the state, Bihar got benefited. He had laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth Rs.11,000 crore at Siwan also.
