PATNA/ PURNEA/ARARIA, Nov. 7 -- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and MP Priyanka Gandhi addressed large number of rallies in districts going to polls in second phase, alleging the ruling BJP was trying to 'steal votes in Bihar' even as chief ministerial face of INDIA bloc Tejashwi Prasad Yadav promised voters of opening floodgates for government employment and higher allowances for representatives of panchayati raj institutions, if voted to power. Addressing rallies in Purnea and Araria on Thursday Rahul Gandhi alleged the PM and Shah imposed jungle raj in the country through rule of ED, CBI, IT. He also attacked the Nitish Kumar-led government and alleged, "20-yr-rule of Nitish Kumar has made youths labourers." He alleged, "In Bihar there is no land for industry but the government has land for Adani." Gandhi alleged the BJP won Haryana election by stealing votes and said, the photograph of a Brazilian woman was allegedly used multiple times in the Haryana voter list. "After Maharashtra and Haryana, votes are being stolen in Bihar election," Gandhi alleged even as he also claimed the names of grand alliance voters were deleted deliberately in Bihar. He appealed to the Gen Z voters to come forward to stop the practices of vote theft. He said, "Wherever I go I find Bihari youths. You have made Dubai by your blood and toil. "If you can make Bangalore and Dubai, why can't you make your Bihar?" Tejashwi, who addressed 18 rallies in Madhubani, Bisfi, Rajnagar, Babubarhi, Supaul, Triveni ganj, Thakurganj, Kadwa and Katihar, in his brief speeches exhorted people to bring a change in dispensation by voting for the INDIA bloc so that a new government committed to generate jobs and redress grievances of people was formed. " We will raise the allowances of representatives of panchayati raj, provide pension to PRI representatives as well as make the jobs of Jeevika didis permanent. We have already promised that every household not having a government job would get one," said Yadav at a rally In Trivensiganj, Supaul. He also asserted that his government, if voted to power, would provide 200 units of free power and also give free electricity to farmers for irrigation. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in back-to-back rallies in Sitamarhi and East Champaran, alleged the EC of "colluding with the government to weaken Constitution."...
