PATNA, Aug. 20 -- The ruling NDA in Bihar has sharpened its attack on Voter Adhikar Yatra of Rahul Gandhi and Congress party calling him Jananayak. On Tuesday, the JD (U) attacked Congress for projecting Rahul Gandhi as 'Jan Nayak', a title given to late chief minister Karpoori Thakur. JD (U) MLC-cum chief state spokesperson Neeraj Kumar, former MP-cum-extremely backward cell president of the party Chandeshwar Prasad Chandravanshi, state spokesperson Anupriya Yadav and media panelist Mahesh Das jointly addressed the press conference and launched a scathing attack on the Congress Party over its post on August 17 from its official X handle, calling Rahul Gandhi a "Jananayak". "This post is not only an insult to the sentiments of the people of Bihar, but is also a grave insult to the great freedom fighter, socialist thinker and true Jananayak of Bihar Karpoori Thakur ji. It is also an insult to the former Prime Minister of the country and great socialist leader Chandrashekhar, who, in a party meeting held in the year 1978, gave the title of 'Jananayak' to Karpoori Thakur. The great heroes are given titles by the public which reflect the sentiments of their hearts," said the JD (U) leaders. The JD (U) leaders said that there cannot be any comparison between the two. "Karpoori Thakur ji was "Gudri ka Lal". His sadhna, austerity and struggle made him Jananayak. On the contrary, Rahul Gandhi ji was born in palaces, grew up in luxury and today he is trying to become a copycat Jananayak only through publicity and copy-paste politics. Which the people of Bihar will never accept," said Neeraj Kumar. BJP deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary to took a dig at Congress. "WritingJananayak and Gandhi with one's name does not make one great," said the deputy CM. The JD (U) also took a dig at Gandhi's yatra. "No one knows what they want. Those who keep harping on vote theft have not been able to give a single example till date. The Election Commission is repeatedly asking for proof of any irregularities, which they are avoiding. Rahul Gandhi makes a threatening mention of an atom bomb for Bihar, but it is exploding in South India. Well, it is clear that their panic is natural due to the continuous development programs of the Nitish government and the increased support of the general public due to some recent decisions," said parliamentary affairs minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary. Union minister for state for home Nityanand Rai objected to the language being used by leader of opposition in Lok Sabha and former Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi during the Voter Rights Yatra and said that his language is against the democracy of the country. "People who roam around with a copy of the Constitution in their hands should refrain from insulting the Constitution. The people of Bihar and the country are seriously looking at the way Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav are roaming around with a copy of the Constitution in their pockets and are also insulting the Constitution. Bihar and the country will not accept the insult of the Constitution," he said....
