PATNA, Sept. 14 -- BJP national president and Union minister J P Nadda on Saturday asked party leaders to set aside their personal ego and directly connect with booth level workers in order to win seats. He was addressing party leaders at the Bihar BJP Core Committee meeting organised by state guest house to chalk out and fine-tune its strategies ahead of assembly elections. Nadda also asked party leaders to improve social equations wherever required and establish communications with alliance partners as well at booth levels. The purpose of the meeting, leaders aware of the matter said, was to decide the election strategy, activate the workers and effectively convey the party's policies to the public. This is the second meeting of the core committee within 10 days. The earlier meeting to correct was chaired by union home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on September 3. BJP national president Nadda and BL Santosh took feedback on issues that needs to be given priority among the public and in which areas the organisation needs to be strengthened further. Along with this, they also took feedback about NDA sammelan being organised at every assembly seats. "The meeting discussed in detail about the forthcoming polls. Discussions were held on alliance unity and leaders were asked to take party and government programmes to every level. The NDA sammelan being organised also came for discussion," said state BJP president Dilip Jaiswal. Prior to that, Nadda also held an hour-long meeting with Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar. The discussion centered around the electoral equation and seat sharing within the NDA. The meeting discussed and reviewed coordination within the alliance and ways and means to further strengthen it. Earlier speaking at a function, Nadda alleged that the repeated insults aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother reflected the "filthy mindset" of the Congress and claimed that the opposition party will get "a befitting reply from the people of Bihar." "Due to the developments done in the last 20 years under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar, we can see a changed Bihar. If I talk about politics, our opposition has brought politics to such low levels. The way in which the Prime Minister's mother was abused and no one regretted it to date, this tells about their character. The video released yesterday by Congress is proof that this is your thinking," he said. Taking a dig at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Nadda said, "Under the NDA, Bihar has been registering a double-digit growth rate. But those who never reached class 10 can obviously not appreciate this fact". "In the name of development, Lalu Prasad gave a statement that if we build a road, the police will reach you quickly. So many years have passed, and I want to ask, did Tejashwi Yadav apologise to the people of Bihar? 'Vo kis tareeke se soch sakte hai ki vo Bihar ka bhala krenge'" he said. He accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of "inconsistency" in his allegations of voter list manipulation. "He has never been consistent in his allegations about Maharashtra. Sometimes, he alleges 70 lakh voters were added ahead of assembly polls last year, and at other times, he puts the number at one crore". In the run-up to the assembly election, PM Narendra Modi would be visiting Bihar again on September 15 while Union home minister Amit Shah will visit Bihar on September 17 and 27....
