GAYA Ji, Sept. 20 -- President Droupadi Murmu will visit Gaya on Saturday. According to her itinerary, she will perform Pind Daan (special rituals for forefathers) for her ancestors and pray at famous Vishnupad Temple. The district administration has tightened security arrangement for her visit. District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Deepak Dev said that the President will arrive at Gaya Ji international airport at 9am and make a departure at about 12.30pm. After performing Pind Daan, President Murmu will proceed to Dev Ghat to offer Tarpan in the Phalgu River. She will also worship at the sacred feet of Lord Vishnu in the sanctum sanctorum of the Vishnupad Temple. In another boost for the temple town, as many as 17 foreigners have performed the sacred rituals of Pind Daan for their ancestors at the Vishnupad Temple in this season, officials said. Leon, 48, from Russia, said she came to perform ritual for her late mother who had struggled to raise her. Pilgrims mostly came from Russia, Ukraine, Poland and Germany....
