Murder over neighbourly dispute due to dog's bark
PATNA, Sept. 23 -- A neighbourly dispute over a dog's constant barking turned fatal for a 30-yr-old at Malbigha village under Fatuha police station of Patna, police said Monday.
Victim Dheeraj Kumar had opposed constant barking of neighbour Pappu Kumar's dog that triggered a heated argument between the two late on Sunday evening. Angry Pappu took out his country-made pistol and fired at Dheeraj, who sustained serious injuries. Villagers gave a sound thrashing to Pappu, leaving him wounded and he also fainted, police said.
Police said both injured persons were admitted to a government hospital in Fatuha, but Dheeraj succumbed to wounds.
Fatuha SDPO Avadhesh Kumar said Pappu Kumar had come home drunk. "The neighbour had an argument after Pappu's dog barked. Dheeraj and two-three brothers together started beating up Pappu Kumar. After this, Pappu took out a pistol from the house and shot Dheeraj. After this, Dheeraj's family members severely beat Pappu. He was seriously injured and was admitted to PMCH and the entire case is being investigated," he said....
