PATNA, June 24 -- In incidents related to land disputes in Khagaria and Muzaffarpur districts, three people - including a mother and son - were shot dead, while two brothers were attacked, leaving one of them dead during treatment, police said on Monday. In Khagaria, a mother and her son were shot dead by their neighbour over a land dispute at Mohaddipur village under Khagaria police station late on Sunday night. Both the victims were rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared them dead. Upon receiving information, Khagaria SP Rakesh Kumar, along with a police team, reached the spot and launched an investigation. The deceased were identified as Pankaj Kumar (30) and his mother Phula Devi (55). In Muzaffarpur, a man was shot dead while his brother was injured in what police said was a revenge attack linked to a land dispute. A group of armed men opened fire on the two outside their house while they were walking around 10.45 pm at Koriya Nizamat village under Paru police station.
