GAYA JI, Sept. 4 -- Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the PM had given a lot to Bihar. He said the state's condition was "very bad" before 2005, but "unprecedented development work has been done in the last 20 years." Interacting with JD(U) workers at Karyakarta Samvad in Belaganj, Kumar reiterated that he had parted ways with the RJD due to their "misdeeds and activities for self-gain." "In between, we had gone to the other side, but when we saw irregularities there, we never went back. Now we will stay with the old relationship. Even when we shifted twice, the work was done by us. Those with whom we went were only engaged in their own interests and did nothing for the public. That is why we decided they are not right. Now all NDA ministers and leaders are working together in the interest of Bihar," Kumar said. He asserted that the NDA government has worked for all sections of society, including Muslims. "Since 2006, graveyards have been fenced to prevent disputes. In 2016, all temples older than 60 years were also fenced. Earlier, such matters often caused disturbances, which have now ended," he said. On development in Gaya district, Kumar said, "Three irrigation schemes, two flyovers, five roads, two parks and a degree college are being built in Gaya Ji. We have renamed Gaya as 'Gaya Ji'. If people have any demand, they tell MLA Manorama Devi and the work is completed." The CM said Bihar is on the path of rapid development and assured more works in the future. He urged JD(U) workers to go door-to-door to inform people about government achievements, stressing that the assembly elections are only a few months away. Kumar laid the foundation for 10 schemes worth Rs 899.46 crore in Gaya Ji district. He also interacted with Jeevika Didis and beneficiaries of various schemes, calling upon people to "move forward together for the development of Bihar." Earlier, he worshipped at the Vishnupad Temple and reviewed preparations for the upcoming Pitripaksha Mela Mahasangam-2025 in a meeting with district magistrate Shashank Subhankar and other officials at the Gaya collectorate. Water resources minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, ministers Sunil Kumar, Prem Kumar, Sanjay Saravagi, Santosh Kumar Suman, MLAs and MLCs were also present....
