MGCU to launch two new MBA programmes at Motihari campus
BETTIAH, Aug. 14 -- Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU) has set the ball rolling for the introduction of industry-oriented education at its Motihari campus in Bihar's East Champaran district, marking an expansion of its academic horizon.
According to public relations officer (PRO) Shephalika Mishra, MGCU plans to launch two new MBA programmes - MBA in Food and Agribusiness and MBA in International Business - under the Department of Management Sciences, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya School of Commerce and Management Sciences.
An advisory committee has been formed to ensure the curriculum aligns with global industry trends and best practices. "The committee includes eminent experts from premier institutions such as Banaras Hindu University, Anand Agricultural University, and G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology," Mishra said, adding that both programmes will be launched shortly.
Established in 2016, MGCU currently offers four undergraduate programmes, 20 postgraduate courses, and 20 PhD programmes across 20 departments under seven faculties.
Vice-chancellor Prof. Sanjay Srivastava expressed hope that the initiative would greatly benefit students. "MGCU is committed to designing academic programmes that not only meet the highest academic standards but also cater to the evolving demands of the job market. These MBA programmes will open new avenues for our students, equipping them with global perspectives and practical insights in two of the most dynamic sectors of the economy," he said....
