Mayawati slams govt for assault on workers
BHABUA, Nov. 21 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati slammed Bihar government for assault on BSP workers and cases registered against them during counting of votes on November 14.
In a press statement, Mayawati said. "A riot caused by anti-social elements from opposition parties, damaged the BSP MLA's car and administrative vehicles. To control the violence, the police resorted to lathi charge at night, seriously injuring several BSP workers".
She further said, "In response to this, district police, under pressure from government, filed several FIRs against approximately 250 BSP workers."...
