PATNA, July 14 -- Samsatipur police arrested Mohammad Meraj (21) in connection with threatening to 'bomb' attack Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) national president Chirag Paswan, from Teghra locality of Begusarai district on Sunday and recovered a cell phone used in the crime. Police said Meraj had threatened on July 11 on Instagram to kill Chirag Paswan. "Samastipur police arrested the accused from Begusarai and identified as Mohammad Meraj (21)," they added. On the direction of Samsatipur superintendent of police Arvind Pratap Singh, a cyber team arrested Meraj from Teghra and recovered Realme Narzo mobile phone from his possession. It was confirmed that the Instagram account used to issue the threat (tiger_meraj_idrisi) was active on the device. The threat comment was also traced to a post on the Insta ID of Dakshapriya. The arrested accused has now been handed over to the Patna cyber police for further action. Chirag Paswan had received a death threat via social media, with the alleged sender claiming he would attack the minister with a bomb. Party's chief spokesperson Rajesh Bhatt lodged a complaint at the cyber crime police station in Patna at 9pm on July 11. The threat was made on the Instagram account of a YouTuber journalist named Dakshapriya, where a user identified as "Tiger Meraj Idrisi" posted a comment threatening to kill Chirag Paswan....
