Dehradun, Dec. 12 -- A suspected drug trafficker was arrested and 7.88 grams seized from him on Wednesday evening, police said on Thursday. According to senior superintendent of police (SSP) Ajai Singh, the accused was identified as Inam Ali. "Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Sahaspur Police Station stopped a suspicious-looking scooter bearing registration number UK-07-FE-9835 on a dirt road near Sahaspur, towards the Paundha river," said Singh. "The scooter used in trafficking has also been seized," SSP Ajai Singh said. A case was registered against the accused at Sahaspur Police Station under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, he said, adding that during probe, Inam Ali revealed that he was allegedly sold the heroin at a cheap rate from a person named Saddam.
