PATNA, Dec. 9 -- In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government on Monday night effected transfers of over a dozen IAS officers, changing district magistrates in 13 districts. IAS officer of 2012 batch Srikant Shastri, DM Aurangabad will take over as DM Begusarai. Of 2017 batch, Tarajot Singh moves from Madhepura to West Champaran (Bettiah), Vivek Ranjan Maitreya shifts from Sheohar to Siwan, and Abhilash Sharma goes from Arwal to Aurangabad. Ashutosh Dwivedi, joint secretary in the building construction department, becomes DM of Katihar; Vinod Duhan, director of mines, takes charge of Araria; Sahila, director of primary education, heads to Buxar; and agriculture director Nitin Kumar Singh will run Kaimur district. Of 2018 batch, Pratibha Rani leaves Bihar AIDS Control Society to become DM, Sheohar, Vaibhav Srivastava moves from the information and public relations department to Saran, Abhishek Ranjan swaps fisheries director's office for Madhepura, Shekhar Anand goes from industries department to Sheikhpura, and Amrisha Bains, OSD in energy department, is off to Arwal. The transfers, effective immediately, are part of the Nitish Kumar government's regular post-election administrative fine-tuning aimed at bringing fresh energy to districts and preventing long tenures....
