Maha police arrest boy with missing minor girl in Patna
PATNA, Nov. 10 -- Maharashtra police on Sunday left Patna after taking transit remand of an accused Sheikh Afsar. The Maharashtra police with the help of Patna police had arrested Afsar in connection with the kidnapping of a minor girl, from Goria Toli area under Kotwali police station on Saturday.
Police said that Maharashtra police from Gangakhed Dhane in Parbhani district came to Patna on Saturday and visited Kotwali police station and requested Patna police for help in the arrest of the accused Sheikh Afsar who had eloped with a minor girl in Patna, a month ago. The police traced Afsar on the basis of his cell phone location. He had kept the girl at Goria Toli area at a rented house and he was himself working at a hotel near Patna junction. Both belonged to Prabhani district, he added.
SHO of Kotwali police J Kumar said that the Maharashtra police on Sunday left Patna after they took the accused Afsar on transit remand from the court. The police produced him before the court where he was allowed transit remand.
Police said that the family had lodged a missing case at Gangakhed Dhane police station in Prabhani district Maharashtra after the girl went missing a month ago....
