Kidnapped child rescued from Sitamarhi distt
PATNA, July 4 -- A two-year-old boy, who was kidnapped from Patna Junction and allegedly sold for Rs.2.7 lakh, was rescued from Sitamarhi late on Wednesday. The railway police also arrested two men, including the buyer, in connection with the case.
Rail Superintendent of Police (SP) Amritendu Shekhar Thakur said that a woman named Radhi Devi had lodged a complaint on June 30, reporting that her two-year and six-month-old son, Sonu, was kidnapped while she was waiting near the ticket counter on platform number 10 at Patna Junction. According to the complaint, an unidentified man befriended the child by offering him snacks and biscuits.
The abduction took place when Radhi momentarily turned away to answer a phone call to contact her husband....
