Ranchi, July 11 -- Congress party's Jharkhand in-charge K Raju, while addressing a press conference at the Press Club here on Thursday, told media persons that his party in Jharkhand would hit the road to protest against the intensive revision of the voter list being conducted by the Election Commission in Bihar. "Intensive voter list revision work being done by the Election Commission of India (ECI) is an attempt to deprive ST, SC, and OBC of Bihar staying outside the state to earn bread from their voting rights. It is a conspiracy to snatch the voting rights of over 2 crore voters," Raju said. Raju said the work of ECI is to conduct elections, not to decide the citizenship of a person. "The way ECI has started intensive voter list revision suggests that it is deciding the citizenship of a person. This is beyond its jurisdiction.
