Jeweller killed at his shop in Banka
BANKA, Sept. 1 -- Unidentified bike-borne assailants shot dead a 41-year-old jeweller in his shop at Gandhi Chowk under Bousi police station limits in Bihar's Banka on Saturday evening, police said.
The victim, identified as Navin Bhuwania, was attacked while winding up his shop. He was rushed to Bousi Referral Hospital and later referred to Bhagalpur Medical College and Hospital (BMCH), where he succumbed to his injuries around 10 pm. Following the incident, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Archna Kumari and Station House Officer (SHO) Sudhir Kumar reached the site and launched an investigation. "We have scrutinised CCTV footage and interrogated the shop staff. Raids are on to nab the criminals," the SDPO said.
As per police, six criminals on two bikes stormed into the shop and opened fire but did not harm the five staff members....
