JD(U) MLA joins RJD ahead of assembly polls
KHAGARIA, Oct. 4 -- In a big blow to the JD(U) ahead of Bihar assembly polls, a senior party MLA from Parbatta (Khagaria) Sanjeev Kumar, son of RN Singh, four-time JD(U) MLA, known as 'vikas purush' in Khagaria joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Friday.
LoP Tejashwi Yadav, who was to attend the function, could not do so due to inclement weather, and took part in the induction ceremony through vid eoconferencing.
Sanjeev Kumar, along with his hundreds of supporters, joined the RJD in presence of party district president Manohar Kumar Yadav. Yadav said Kumar's coming into the party would strengthen the RJD.
JD(U), however, declared that it would not affect the party here. "He somehow managed to win the seat just by less than 1,000 votes, and the party was seriously considering his alternative here," a JD(U) leader told HT....
