PATNA, Sept. 24 -- At the receiving end of Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor's relentless attack with corruption charges for quite some time, Bihar rural works department minister Ashok Choudhary on Tuesday hit back with a Rs.100-crore defamation notice to him for levelling "baseless and misleading allegations" and sought public apology. "His unfounded allegations are a reflection of his desperation and nervousness. I had filed a defamation case against him earlier also and PK has been called for appearance on October 17 by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Patna and now he has gone wild," he added. Choudhary had filed the earlier case in June after Kishor alleged that the minister had bribed Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) (RV) chief Chirag Paswan to secure a Lok Sabha ticket for his daughter Samastipur MP Shambhavi Choudhary. The JD(U) minister said that under the Rs.100-crore defamation notice served to Kishor, the Jan Suraaj leader has to tender unconditional written and oral apology within seven days, failing which the defamation case would be filed against him....
