PATNA, Sept. 15 -- The Takht Sri Harimandir Ji Prabandhak Committee, Patna Sahib, will organise a Jagriti Yatra and nagar kirtan on September 17 to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru of the Sikh faith. Chief minister Nitish Kumar and Union petroleum minister Hardeep Singh Puri will flag off the yatra, which will pass through nine states, including Jharkhand and West Bengal, before culminating at Kesgarh Sahib in October. Takht Sahib president Jagjot Singh Sohi said that Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj of Akal Takht, Baba Tek Singh, Baba Balveer Singh Karori, along with other saints, religious leaders and Sikh organizations, will participate in the event on September 17. "A Gatka martial arts troupe and a horse-riding squad will also be part of the procession. A special train carrying 400 devotees from Punjab will arrive at Takht Sahib on September 15. A large number of devotees are expected to join," he added. General secretary Inderjit Singh said that the sacred form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and ancient weapons would be carried in the 'Palki Sahib.'...
