GAYA JI, July 8 -- A 19-year-old youth from Jharkhand died after falling from the Sasaram-Dhanbad Intercity Express near Tankuppa railway station in Gaya district late Sunday evening, police said. The deceased was identified as Vivek Kumar Rajak alias Guddu, a resident of Baghmara in Dhanbad district. He had travelled to Dehri with his friend Anurag Chauhan to attend a shradh ceremony and was returning home by the Intercity Express. Due to overcrowding in the train, both were standing near the door. According to Anurag, Vivek lost his balance and fell off the train after a sudden jerk while it was changing tracks near Tankuppa. He reportedly came under the wheels of the train. "Both his legs were severed near the thighs, and his head sustained severe injuries," Anurag said. Amandeep Gupta, a co-passenger from Ranchi, immediately reported the incident on railway helpline number 139. The Railway Police reached the spot quickly and rushed Vivek to a nearby hospital. He was later referred to ANMMCH, Gaya, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Monday. Government Railway Police (GRP) Station House Officer (SHO) Rajesh Kumar Singh said the victim's family had been informed. "An unnatural death case has been registered at the railway police station, and the post-mortem is being conducted," he added....
