RANCHI, Dec. 9 -- The Jharkhand government on Monday tabled a supplementary budget of Rs.7,721.25 crore in assembly for the 2025-26 fiscal, with almost half of this amount allocated to the women, child development & social security department and the rural works department. Finance minister Radhakrishna Kishore tabled the second supplementary budget for this financial year. The debate on the demands is scheduled for December 9. As per the documents, the women, child development & social security department, which runs the state government's flagship Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojna, was allocated Rs.2,082.22 crore, while the rural works department received Rs.1,316 crore. On August 25, during monsoon session, the House had passed the first supplementary budget of Rs.4,296.62 crore by voice vote.
