J'khand minister Ramdas Soren cremated with full state honours in Jamshedpur
Jamshedpur, Aug. 17 -- Jharkhand school education, literacy and registration minister Ramdas Soren was cremated with full state honours at the cremation ground near his Jamshedpur-based residence in Ghorabandha on Saturday, a day after he passed away during treatment at a private hospital in New Delhi on Friday night.
The 62-year-old Soren, who is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter, was airlifted to the Delhi Apollo Hospital on August 2, following a head injury after he fell in the bathroom at his Jamshedpur residence.
He was on life support ever since and breathed his last on Friday night, people aware of the development said.
Somesh Soren, the eldest son of Ramdas, performed the last rites of late Ramdas Soren around 6.20 pm, while Jharkhand ministers Deepika Pandey Singh, Dipak Birua, Dr Irfan Ansari, former CMs Arjun Munda, Raghubar Das and Champai Soren, apart from thousands of people bid a tearful adieu to their beloved 'Ramdas-da'....
