RANCHI, Dec. 16 -- The Jharkhand High Court on Monday quashed an FIR against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey. The FIR was registered in 2023 at Mohanpur police station. It was alleged in the FIR that Dubey assaulted a man who was buying and selling cattle in a market in the Mohanpur police station area, claiming he was a Bangladeshi infiltrator, and then driving away his bull. A high court advocate aware of the matter informed that the order came from the court of Justice Anil Kumar Choudhary. "The court of Justice Anil Kumar Choudhary of the High Court quashed the FIR registered against the MP. The court stated that the police failed to perform their role properly in the case, and based on the facts, it is clear that the petitioner was unnecessarily implicated," the advocate said. "The high court observed that the police did not conduct a fair investigation of the facts in the entire matter and registered the FIR without any solid basis. The court also commented that criminal law cannot be misused to harass anyone," the advocate further said....
