SASARAM, June 2 -- An inebriated man brutally assaulted and killed his minor daughter in suspicion of her affair with maternal uncle at Balchanama village under Bikramganj police station area of Rohtas district on Saturday night. Accused Ram Bhaju Paswan was a liquor addict and beat the girl Jyoti Kumari (17) mercilessly before strangling and killing her at home at about 9.30pm. He also attacked his wife who tried to save the girl and fled away from the scene after the girl started bleeding from her mouth and fell unconscious, police said. Bikramganj police reached the place and rushed the girl to a nearby hospital but she succumbed to the injuries on the way. Locals said the girl's aunt's brother had come to her house and fish was being cooked. Meanwhile, the drunk father reached home and started beating up the girl accusing her of having an illicit relationship with the maternal uncle. Bikramganj SDPO Kumar Sanjay said that a murder case had been registered against the accused and police were conducting raids for his arrest....
