Health check-up camp held at St. Michael's High School in Patna
Patna, Sept. 7 -- A comprehensive student medical health check-up camp was organised on Saturday at St. Michael's High School by the St. Michael's Alumni Association, targeting the well-being of students from Classes 6th, 7th, and 8th.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1,200 students, who underwent general medical evaluations with a special focus on ophthalmology.
In a significant finding, 257 students were diagnosed with vision-related issues, underlining the importance of regular eye screenings at the school level.
A team of esteemed doctors, most of them ex-students of St. Michael's High School, from renowned hospitals were present in the health camp.
The Eye Camp was formally inaugurated by Fr. Christu Savarirajan SJ, Principal of St. Michael's High School. Rev. Fr. John Ravi, National Advisor of Jesuit Alumni Associations of India (JAAI), graced the occasion and, in his address, emphasized the importance of continued alumni involvement in school development initiatives.
Fr. Christu Savarirajan SJ, in his remarks, highlighted the growing need for accessible healthcare initiatives within schools and extended heartfelt appreciation to the Alumni Association and the medical professionals for their commendable service.
Vivek Sinha, President of the St. Michael's Alumni Association, remarked, "This initiative reflects our deep commitment to giving back to the institution and community that shaped us. We are proud to serve our alma mater and help ensure the health of its students."
