PATNA, Aug. 29 -- At least one policeman was injured on Thursday when a mob went on a rampage, pelting stones and blocking Chitkohra More for nearly two hours. The protestors were demanding action against those responsible for the mysterious immolation of a Class 5 girl student inside her school washroom a day earlier, police said. Several protestors involved in stone pelting were detained. The 12-year-old student of Amla Tola Kankya Vidyalaya had succumbed to severe burn injuries sustained under mysterious circumstances in the school bathroom on Wednesday. While the family alleged that some teachers had been harassing the girl, the school administration denied the charge. Police said the mob disrupted traffic movement, burnt tyres at several spots and clashed with security personnel. "As the police team reached to pacify the crowd, some of them started pelting stones. At least one policeman was injured in the incident," officials said....
