SASARAM, March 17 -- A Gaya woman, who had left her husband and six-year-old son for her love, was killed by the lover in Rohtas. A Rohtas police SIT revealed the murder mystery and arrested the accused, his family members and relatives on Monday. According to police, body of a young woman wearing wedding clothes and mangalsutra like a newly-married bride was recovered from a well outside Bagha Khoh village in Akorhi Gola police station area of Rohtas district on Sunday. There were sharp cut injuries on the body. Police registered a murder case under sections 103, 238 and 3(5) of BNS against unknown accused and superintendent of police (SP) Raushan Kumar formed a SIT under Akorhi Gola SHO Rakesh Gosain to solve the case, police said. Based on intelligence inputs, the SIT arrested and interrogated Dharmendra Kumar Singh of Karma village in adjacent Baghaila police station area. Singh confessed the murder and said that the deceased was a native of Gaya and was married to a resident of Arwal district who was working in Patna. She came in contact with Singh on the train and they developed a romantic relationship some two years back. She left her husband and child and was living and working with Singh in a glass factory in Andhra Pradesh, the SP said. Soon he felt fed up with the behaviour of the woman, made an excuse and returned to his village in February. On February 20, he married a young woman and began living with her. The love woman arrived at his village from Andhra Pradesh three days back and began creating a scene. He managed to pacify her by promising to marry her as well and placed her at a relative's house in a neighbouring Bagha Khoh village. To permanently resolve the problem, Singh conspired with his family and relatives to murder the woman. On Sunday night, he lured the woman to a barn outside the village and killed her using a sharp-edged weapon and dumped her body into a well with the help of accomplices, the SP said. Following the revelation by the mastermind, the SIT arrested his father Nakul Singh, brother Upendra Kumar, co-villager Santu Kumar and relative Kameshwar Singh who participated in the murder.
