Foundation laid for world's largest eye hospital in Bihar
PATNA, Sept. 21 -- Bihar's deputy chief minister and finance minister Samrat Chaudhary on Saturday unveiled the foundation plaque at the site where the world's largest eye hospital is being constructed in Mastichak village, in Saran district.
It will be a a 1,000-bed community facility to be built by Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital that has been running a number of eye care facilities.
The new center is expected to be completed by March 2027.
Boasting 19 operation theaters and 50 eye examination rooms, the facility will have an annual capacity for 5-6 lakh eye surgeries - majority of them free of cost. P7...
