PATNA, Oct. 7 -- Police on Monday arrested five persons on charge of beating to death a suspected thief at an under-construction building of a hospital at Alpana market under Patliputra police station on October 5. SHO, Patliputra police station, Atulesh Kumar said Dial 112 was informed around 4.48 pm on October 5 that a man, around 25 years old, had been beaten to death on suspicion of theft by some persons in Alpana market area. "Police soon reached the spot and took the man to the hospital where he was declared dead," he added. SHO said, "We are still trying to identify the body. On the basis of technical evidence, police arrested five persons, identified as Prasun Kumar alias Sonu, Kahaniya Yadav, Santosh Prasad, Umesh Prasad and Ramniwas Singh....
