FIR against RJD mla, aides for threatening doctor couple
PATNA, April 17 -- Police said on Thursday that an FIR has been registered against RJD MLA from Raghunathpur constituency Osama Shahab, son of late MP Md Shahabuddin, and his three associates for allegedly threatening a doctor couple and trying to grab their land.
The FIR was registered under sections 126(2), 115(2), 303(2), 191(2), 191(3), 190, 308 (5), 329(3), 329(4), 352, and 351 (2) of BNS at the Mahadeva police station in Siwan based on the complaint filed by Dr Sudha Singh, a resident of Gopalganj.
According to the doctor couple, they bought land on the side of the bypass road in Junapur village of Siwan and were recently warned by some people not to carry out construction work there. It is alleged in the FIR that they were told to leave the land in favour of MLA Osama Shahab and return to Gorakhpur or face dire consequences.
In the FIR, Dr Sudha alleged that a land (plot number 82, survey number 941, area 11.904 dicmil) located in Jhunapur under Mahadeva police station was purchased by her on October 2024.
When she started construction work on her land, MLA Osama called and asked her to stop, claiming the land was disputed and he had also invested money in it, stating the matter was in court.
"When my husband asked him about the court and administrative order, 30-35 people rushed to the scene quickly. The CCTV cameras installed there were broken and they thrashed our staff and snatched cell phones. MLA's goons Farhan and Shabir threatened dire consequences and warned our staff to leave the spot immediately," said Dr Sudha Singh, who currently resides in Gorakhpur with her husband Dr Vinay Singh.
"The case is under investigation," said SHO Vineet Vinayak.
This is not the first case. This is the second FIR registered against Osama Shahab in the last 10 days. He was previously charged with conspiracy to murder in a road rage dispute on April 5....
