Father-son duo get life imprisonment for killing co-villager
BHABUA, May 28 -- The court of 10th additional district and sessions judge (ADJ) Arun Kumar Tiwari at Bhabua on Tuesday sentenced a father and son duo to life imprisonment in a brutal murder case.
The verdict came after five years of the incident in which the accused Dinesh Jaiswal alias Pappu Jaiswal and his son Krishna Jaiswal of Nuaon market in Kaimur district had stabbed and killed co-villager Premchand Prasad and critically injured his son Akhilesh Prasad and three other family members on July 11, 2020 afternoon, additional public prosecutor Ram Narayan Ram said.
Thirteen witnesses testified in the case.
The court also sentenced both the accused for 10 years imprisonment for attempt to murder and critically injuring four persons. The court also slapped Rs.30,000 fine and in case of it not being furnished both of them will have to undergo three months additional imprisonment, the APP said. As per the case registered on the statement of injured Akhilesh Prasad, the deceased and his family members were opposing the accused from dumping garbage in their agricultural field which had been prepared for paddy transplant. It led to a scuffle between them.
The accused brutally stabbed the victim Premchand Prasad who died on the spot. They also critically injured four others who were referred to the BHU Trauma Center at Varanasi. and were saved by the doctors....
