PATNA, June 24 -- A 28-year-old farmer was injured during army shooting practice after a stray bullet accidentally hit him while he was working in his field at Daudnagar village under the jurisdiction of Shahpur police station on Monday morning, police said. The injured farmer, identified as Vijay Kumar, has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Police said that the incident occurred when Kumar, along with his father, Shiv Dayal Prasad, was plucking vegetables in the field. Shiv Dayal, the victim's father, told police that they usually come to the field around 5 am. "We had hardly plucked 10 kg of lady's finger when a stray bullet hit my son, who was working in the field beyond the boundary wall. We immediately took him to the hospital for treatment," he said. City SP (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh said local police reached the spot and started an investigation....
