Excise ASI among three arrested for robbery in Gaya Ji
GAYA JI, July 5 -- Gaya police late on Thursday night arrested an excise assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and his two associates in connection with a robbery that took place at a house in Tika Bigha village under Bodh Gaya police station limits on the evening of June 24.
The arrested accused have been identified as excise ASI Anjani Kumar, Deepak Kumar, and Ajit Kumar Chaudhary. According to police, the ASI was posted at the Excise police station in Gaya.
As per the FIR filed by the victim, Chandan Kumar of Tika Bigha village, under Section 309(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (which carries a provision of 10 years' rigorous imprisonment), the incident occurred when he and his wife were away, and their three minor children were at home.
At around 6:30 pm, four persons on two motorcycles arrived at the house. They allegedly intimidated the children, claimed they had come to recover a loan amount from their father, and forced their way in....
