Ex-security guard seeks to protect locals from migration for earning
BETTIAH, Oct. 18 -- Neeraj Singh, 38, laboured as a security guard in big cities before his fortune turned and he became an entrepreneur whose annual turnover touched Rs.200 crore from three industries. Singh on Friday filed poll papers as a Jan Suraaj candidate for Sheohar assembly seat in quest for political fortunes.

I had peace of mind only when I returned to Bihar and started my own company...," said Singh, who is an owner of a group of Bihar-based three companies called Usha Industries, Bajrang Trading and Maa Industries.

While his two sons are enrolled in a school in Dehradun, his two brothers are engaged in brisk business. "But all was not well when I cleared matriculation from Fatahpur Sarkari school in 2003. My father's meagre source of income forced me to look for jobs to supplement the family income, but nobody was ready to hire a minor...Somehow my father kept our body and soul together. After a few years, I found a job as a security guard in Delhi and worked in Pune also and managed to afford my education," said Singh, a law graduate from MS College, Motihari....
