When Sinha did not return home for hours, his family began searching for him and eventually found him unconscious in the house of their neighbour, Madan Sharma. Police were informed and rushed him to the nearby community health centre, where doctors declared him dead. However, Sinha's wife Sunita Devi and his cousin Amit Kumar Sinha claimed that he had left home at dawn to bring medicine for his ailing son. They alleged that Madan Sharma, Golu Sharma, and their associates kidnapped him on the way, took him to their house, and beat him to death. They further alleged that the story about him being caught in an objectionable situation was fabricated to cover up the crime, which they believed was rooted in an old enmity. SDPO Kumar Rishiraj said three suspects had been taken into custody for questioning....
