Ensure that every beneficiary gets aid on time: Chief secy
Jaipur, Nov. 27 -- Chief secretary V Srinivas on Wednesday directed all departments to ensure timely and effective implementation of welfare schemes, emphasising that the state government is committed to the empowerment and holistic development of the poor, women, youth and farmers.
He said every eligible beneficiary must receive the benefits of government schemes on time and instructed officials to develop a single-window system to streamline execution.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat, the chief secretary assessed the progress and financial expenditure of schemes and budget announcements under the departments of social justice and empowerment, women and child development, child rights, economics and statistics, labour, minority affairs and tribal area development.
Srinivas reviewed departmental schemes and issued directions for their efficient and time-bound implementation.
He stressed that no eligible person's pension should be stopped due to delays in receiving a "life certificate".
He also directed officials to organise public health lectures to support children suffering from autism and neuromuscular disorders.
Reviewing the Poshan Tracker app, he instructed the department to study the "Buddy Mothers" programme to strengthen care for malnourished children throughout the state of Rajasthan.
He further asked officials to run a campaign to intensify implementation of the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme. Ensuring timely supply of ration kits to Sahariya tribe families was also highlighted as a priority.
